    I am trying to learn the pipes, we have a retired Scottish teacher here in Florida and he is giving me lessons. Very hard with big hands!!!

    But I have one question. Does he have that thing hooked up to an air compressor or something? It's not the "usual" set of pipes...

    Sausage; I'm presuming you mean bagpipes, not the easiest of instruments to learn no matter the size your hands, but keep at it!

    Pon; Those are uileann pipes, mor common in Ireland. They have a bag on one side and a bellows on the other. :¬)

  13. All; Forgive me. I've been doing some researching, and it seems to me that he is playing 'border' pipes. Which look to me to be a morph of 'bag' or 'war' pipes & the Irish Uillen pipes. Though the fingering is definitely trad bagpipes. Anyone??
