House?

I was watching 'House' on TV last night.

(The teenagers tied me to the recliner and kept my eyelids open with tape!)
Anyway, I heard someone say something along the lines of;

"I'd rather regret having done something,
than regret not having done something."

And I think, in most situations, I would have to agree.

(Yes, that's me, sometime in the 80's, after a fight!)

  1. Ah, I love "House"! Actually I'd rather hear Hugh Laurie as a grumpy American than as his refined English self. I know...weird.

But you're right. There are pearls of wisdom that pop up from time to time in those episodes. And to tell you the truth, sometimes I feel alot like his buddy Wilson...the one who knows the truth but keeps caring [and doing the grunt work] anyway. ;)

By the way, Pon and I will probably refuse the right to utilize that photo for your P.R. work. ;)

  2. hope; I don't really watch much telly, because if I find something interesting then I CAN get hooked, i.e. ANY Star-Trek, Stargate (anything with Star in the title basically!) Lost, Fringe.

As for the pic, you could 'leak' it when my star is fading, anything for publicity! :¬)

  3. Brother Map,

I'm with you on this one. Who the fuck wants to live with regrets in life? I don't...I don't!

I think your PR Team needs more pics for your press campaign.

  7. I, like many, have regrets, but they're all part of the experience of life & like mistakes, we learn by them innit?

So tell the story Map...........blushes et al :-)

  9. Life has come to this...? I'm now a sidekick to a heid-the-baw who appears to have a pirate fetish?

Where did it all go wrang?

  10. Come on Stew, House can be entertaining while you're having a beer--
But its right---you have to have a go, because you will wonder for the rest of your life if you could have done it.
Geez, I've seen a face like that in the mirror. Didn't like something the best fighter in the district said to a young lady--we actually became great mates later and he admitted that I had broken his nose when I cracked his head into my knee---I have no memory---think I was pissed---had to be to have a go at him

  14. Arrrgh, matey.

Sorry. I had to do it. It took me along time to realize the guy who plays House is from the UK. What a spectacular American accent!

  17. Oh Map, I could have written your first comment back... I too must avoid the tube... then I found the original Star Trek on line... now I must avoid that too. The first two seasons of Lost saw me turn into a complete ass when "time for Lost". I had to give it up.

Funny thing, I too "regret" not having done something that most people would not have done in the first place. I'm always a bit mystified by it all.

  21. AJ; Hugh Laurie may very well be hot, seriously or otherwise! (Seriously? Hugh Laurie?)
    But you are right.
    I probably don't care!

Don't let that stop YOU though!
