Just found this on Youtube.
This is where I live.

  1. To be honest, I think the permanent classical music would piss me off as I wandered around the place.

  4. Ahhhh, gently she flows, the gentle fingers of the Shannon, as she winds her way out into the Atlantic Ocean, across the deep to our beloved Amerikay.

I used to fish the estuary not so long back, a wonderful little peg it was, with a bar not more than a spit or two across the way.

  5. Sav; Us locals don't notice the music anymore, but I can see how it can get annoying to visitors! :¬)

Jimmy; the estuary is a fine sight indeed, wonderful drives on both sides. (And bars!)

  8. Brother Map,

Love the view of Limerick (I can bounce to all styles of music). I laughed at the "False Teeth Repaired" sign.

  13. Great heavens, Maps! My dear old dead grandmamma was one of Limerick's least favourite daughters. I have never been. I should. I feel the call of the wild.

  15. Limerick has changed.
I drove through it many a time on my way to Dingle in the mid 70’s.
    Big big difference.

  17. Add one more to the "Why is this music making me so sleepy?" count. :) Next time, they should ask you to provide the tune.

But what a pleasant journey...the green is soothing my poor, roasted soul.

  19. Is it really sad that I just can't be bothered looking at it??
It's not because I don't want to, it's because we have such slow internet broadband speeds here in NZ that I will just get postal watching it.

  20. Strange how people see their home town, isn't it? I'm guessing the person who made this is culturally a million miles away from me.

    Not wrong. Just other.

I've been thinking of making one of those videos but it will involve rather fewer churches and considerably more pubs. The music will possibly be a bit different too.
