My Father's Coat

When I was small my father's coat was our duvet.
And it kept us warm.
And when his coat was on our bed it meant he was home from work.
And we felt safe.

I can still smell it.

  4. 'Mind me keys!' Dad would say when I bounced on his lap.
He smelled of Players. He was lovely.
