  5. Man, first Kim Ayres tells me how great I am [and you too I see] and now here's your happy self with more positive, shiny thoughts.

Is it any wonder I look forward to Blog World at the end of the work day? Thank you kind Sir.

Now, get to work on that YouTube video before I send Ponita after you! [I'm assuming she's taller than me...most everyone is]

  7. hope; You are such a sweetheart!
I 'recorded' a song today on my daughters camera. It is so funny, though not intentionally! It is a very sad and poignant ballad, which I try to sing accordingly, but when I played back the video, my head is cut out from the whole shoot! It is not great, but seeing as we still haven't figured out the complexeties of the recording studio, I'm gonna go with 'simple'!

It is not a song in my usual rep, but I promised Jimmy I would 'do' this for him! (It's a football thing, Celtic!)

Gimme (actually my daughter!) a day or two, and it will be on YouTube!

    So, you're a little person eh? :¬)

  10. I quite like this tune, Map. Very nice. Have never heard of him but I like it. Thanks!

Hope, I'm 5'9", so I'm assuming I am taller than you?

Youtube??? YOUTUBE???? That is soooo cool, Map! I am so excited now... I can hardly wait!!!! Glad you're feeling no pain now... and hope tomorrow is relatively pain free. xoxoxo

  11. You can find the light from the bottom of darkness----.
Home from the pub and feelin fanfuckintastic----I'm guessing there is not a lot of darkness in your life
Ah, the beach is wonderful, the beer is cold and all is well in the sunshine

Clyde; Every darkness brings a new dawn!

  13. To Pon and Map...I am a towering 5'1" ...almost.
The people who issue driver's licenses don't accept 3/4 of an inch as a measurement for height, so we rounded it up. :)

    Doesn't bother me unless I'm in a crowd...the view isn't so great. ;)

  14. @hope: I'll let you stand in front of me so you can see better... I usually stick to the back anyway to not block others' views. :-)

Map: Only those of us who know you will know who it is if you don't use your real name!

  15. hope; Well there will always be a front row seat resevered for you at my gigs!
(Well you ARE doing PR!) :¬)

Pon; Never thought of that! :¬)

  18. Leah & Pon; I've just listened back to it and I'm not 100% happy! I will make a new one later! :¬)

That's the trouble with us artists! Never happy!!

  20. Tiffin; Glad it moved you! :¬)

(Can you tell me what 'Tui' means?, is it a greeting, a 'farewell' maybe? or a term of endearment? Just curious!)

  21. With your head cut out of the video, perhaps you could call yourself "The Unknown Singer." Wouldn't have to use your real name, either. That way, people will concentrate on your music and not the warts on your nose. (Oops, I wasn't supposed to mention that, was I.)

  23. Sung a little over dramatic and the intermittent “….. go pause where pause we pause can pause shine” is like someone shoutin’ the point at me…….
It should be sung with (less punctuation) a humble: “do you mind if I open up to you,” and with a backing (maybe female) voice on the chorus.

  25. Re your question about Tui: it isn't my birth certificate name (which is very stodgy and Scottish) but it's what my Dad called me from the minute I was born, so it is my REAL name, if that makes sense. We aren't quite sure where he got it but I have learned that it is a bird in New Zealand, a common name for Maori women and a chapter of the I Ching (where it means "joyous lake"). I'm Celt to the bone, without a drop of Maori in me. So there you go, as much as I know.

  26. Tiffin; Thank you for getting back to me on that! What a great story, love it! :¬)

(Celt myself with Mauri tattoos!) :¬)

  27. Ponita...didn't we request pictorial proof of those tats? Something about if we didn't ask Jimmy for the photos he has....

Thanks to Map for offering me a front row seat and for Ponita in offering to stand behind me. Best of both worlds: one of you has my back and the other entertains me. See, being short isn't a bad thing. ;)

  28. hope; getting the new tat next week, and will post pics of progress.

And, nothing wrong with being shortish! :¬)
