  1. Cool! Kinda reminds me of a Klingon Bat'leth. Did it hurt much? How long did it take? Thanks for posting the pics. xoxo

  3. Pon; It is a bit Klingony innit!
    It hurt much.
Took about three hours, but we were chatting a lot. It's not often I get to spend that much time with Robert. A good evening.

    Sav; Thanks hon!

  7. I thought at first it was a beauiful urn. I hope it settles down and you are pain free.

  8. I had a pre-midlife crisis in my late 30s, and got a couple of body piercings. I'd love to have a small tattoo, but I can't decide what and I can't decide where... which means I am still a wimp!

Love the look of your tattoo though! Do you have many others? I see a glimpse of on your arm?

  9. Nice!

    Does it mean anything?

The worst place for me was the ankle. Oh, that hurt.

  10. Jayne; Why thank you kindly! :¬)

Pat; That made me laugh! I DO look like a beautiful urn, from that angle anyway! :¬)

    Eryl; Yep! :¬)

Helga; Got my ears pierced when I was 16, no other piercings though!
You can just make out the top of another piece on my right shoulder in the pics. It goes down to the elbow. It was started about 3 years ago, and added to over the years, similar in design to the new piece.

thingy; Ta. It doesn't mean anything specifically, we worked out the design together to fit with the others.
(But it does have a personal meaning for me.)

  11. Loving the new tat. When I had mine done it was the outline that hurt the most, after that, the filling in was fine as everything was numb.

    I was a wuss though.
That must have taken you ages though matey?

  12. Well it's easy to tell who's the braver of us, that's for sure! :)

I've never had the urge for a tat...I know, I know, but I kept envisioning my skin at 85 and the thought of a design sliding off of me was pitiful. :)

I'm glad it has a special meaning for you. No, I won't demand an explanation. But I'm pretty sure you're not Klingon. Too happy looking for that.

  14. I have a tat on my shoulder that's about the size of a U.S. dollar coin. Quite small. When I got it, I almost passed out during the application. What a little girl!

  15. It's actually an ancient script in an orcish dialect which translates roughly as, "where's the toilet?"

Just keep your shoulders covered at any Lord of the Rings conventions...

  16. Dan; Took about three hours altogether, but a lot of that time was spent in very good conversation!
(I found the 'filling in' to be the worst part!) :¬(

hope; I had wanted a tattoo from early teens, but what with my very 'old fashioned' father and my own religious beliefs (YES!) I always laid it aside as one of those things that just would never happen!
Then, I got older, my Father passed, I lost religion, got married and had children, a succession of bands, a house, and a big garden!
Then I realised, there was nothing holding me back! Got my first tattoo 3 years ago, the same day a friend of mine died in an accident in France. A coincidence. And that tattoo will always remind me of him. I got an addition to it a year later for another reason. And this latest one, again for personal reasons, not the least of which, that it was created by one of my favourite people, for me. If I live to be 85, tattoos sliding down my body will be the least of my worries! :¬)

Madame DF; Merci beacoup Madame! :¬)

UB; The first half hour is the worst! My first tat took 4 1/2 hours! After 30 mins I was in a trance, didn't feel a thing! :¬)

Kim; Bastard told me it meant "Dare The Twilight"! God knows what the one on my arm means!! :¬)

    Tiffin; The bastard! :¬)

  18. Great ink mate, but you could do with a bit of a tan----bring the family to take care of my dog and we can hit the beaches and pubs---nice deck at the local

  19. Trés beau - but I'm feeling your pain!

  20. St Jude; Thanks. (I as a person, on the other hand, have never fitted perfectly into my space!) :¬)

Clyde; Aye, would love some rays right now! What time does your local open? :¬)

    nursemyra; Ta. You got any?

    xxx

Lulu; Merci! And the pain is easing, with a little help from Arthur (Guinness). :¬)
