I sang these songs way too many times this weekend!
We surely would be lost without our gay contingent!
They do keep us happy!
Plus.
We got our first gay wedding booked for next year.
(De Valera must be turning in his grave!) Fuck him!
Two very good friends of mine. Should be a blast!
They're having trouble picking the bridesmaids though!
And as for the Best Man?
(I was as skinny as Travolta once. So was He!)
Amazing how the party picks up, isn't it?!

Sounds like it was a great weekend!!! You'll have to let us know how the gay wedding goes... and who the bridesmaids are!! Should be a blast!
ReplyDeletePon; Derek & Dennis are old friends of mine. They were 'married' in Liverpool a few years ago, but now that same-sex marriage is legal here they want to do it properly, with all their friends and family. And their favourite band! :¬)

I think you'd look stunning in a White bridesmaids dress, good luck to the happy couple.
ReplyDeleteRyan; I can't do white! :¬)
ReplyDeleteI think red is more your colour, Map... I've seen pix of you in a red dress! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't really be a bridesmaid silly:)
ReplyDeleteBut they may ask you to be maid of honour.
I can't wait to attend my first gay wedding! We had two tables of gay guests at our wedding and that's where all the action was.
ReplyDeleteSounds great - I'll be looking out for the wedding pix.
ReplyDeleteI also was as skinny as JT too once
Best party I ever attended was a gay party, I was with my wife and her brother and partner. What a freaking blast it was. Live and let live.
ReplyDeletePeace...
oh, talk about blasts from the past!!! sounds like a fantabulous time was had by all - and how could it miss with that music!!!
ReplyDeleteand best wishes to the happy couple!!!
Seems like only yesterday when we would politely say a gay man was "not the marrying kind"
ReplyDeleteHow times have changed hey?
I knew what that first song was before I even hit play. :)
ReplyDeleteBet they go with "Dude of Honor". ;)
Gay men defo know how to party, have had some good times with my friends, i hesitate to call them gay friends cuz they just people like me and i once did such a rippin version of I Will Survive at the girl's X-mas party that the Karoake lady wouldn't let anyone else sing, she said it was to good to follow and put on tunes and made people dance.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the wedding. But please don't tell me that you've ever worn a white suit too!!
ReplyDeletePon; It was a MAN'S dress! :¬)

I associate gay with Noel Coward in its innocent form but maybe it was coded even then.
