Goin' Back To The Country!

Spent most of the morning listening to country music.
My first music love.
And I've been a bad lover to her.
I've neglected her.
And have forgotten how fun she was to play.
So, this guy has decided it's time to get a country band together.
It'll take a while, but I've already recruited my favourite picker (Jonathan) at his gig tonight (where he made me do 2 Elvis songs!)!
I didn't expect to be singing, but I had a ball!
I need a drummer, and a bassist. And maybe a fiddle. And a piano.
I have a drummer in mind already.
Fuckit, I'm goin' back to the country!
Watch this space.

(Fuck, he's even got my name!)

  7. Stick the with the REAL country of guys like George Strait and forget the pop/country hybrid that's so popular nowadays. And you definitely need a fiddle player.

  19. I'm not a country fan, but then again, I grew up in the era when there was more Bluegrass than what now passes for Country. I'm guessing you weren't forced to watch "Hee Haw" by your otherwise normal Da, as I was. George Jones, Tammy Why Not and Dolly's big hair [and those!] didn't makeme a fan.

But, Hubby once pointed out that when "The Eagles" started, they were considered country. :) And Darius Rucker of "Hootie & the Blowfish" [a local lad who's done well nationally] has gone Country too!

Whatever you do, a Fiddler is MANDATORY. :)

Hey Pon, now we have TWO careers to work out PR for. ;)

  20. hope; You are WAY behind missus! I already have TWO acts on the road. And if my counting is up to scratch, the country outfit makes three. Yee, as they say, haw! :¬)

  23. Yeehaw! I really enjoy some old country and some newer country. And I loves Hal Ketchum! (What a voice.) Although the eyebrows are a bit heavy. Looks better now that he's greyer. I've seen George Strait in concert, also Brad Paisley (2x) and Brooks and Dunn (2x), plus Carrie Underwood. All great concerts!

Can't wait to see/hear what you come up with for a band. xoxoxo

@Hope: I think we can handle all three of his bands, don't you???

  24. Pon; Hal do have the heavy brows alright! :¬)

  25. You know how when you play heavy rock backward you get devil chants?
What do you get when you play country music backward?
You get your job back, your dog back, your wife back, your life back....

  26. Tempo; YOU MADE ME (lol) LAUGH OUT FUCKIN LOUD PAL! :¬)
