Low Self Esteem? Stand In Front Of A Mirror. Naked! (Or, a Bit of fry & Laurie!)

  1. Shocking to see Mr. Laurie carry on in this manner when we here in the States are accustom to seeing him as the sober, troubled doctor in "House."

  2. UB; Aye! We have had the pleasure of Mr. Laurie's wit, along with that of his colleague, the ever intelligent Mr. Fry for many a decade. Indeed!

I'm still coming to terms with his 'merkin' accent! :¬)

  7. Pon; Both of these chappies are very popular in our house, the ladies having a fondness for 'House'. I prefer the silliness! :¬)

  8. Although like most Americans I was shocked the first time Hugh Laurie spoke in the voice which God had given him....I went out and bought the 1st season of "Fry & Laurie". It was so much fun, given my often warped sense of humor, that I bought another season.

Hmmm, how many seasons do I have left to buy? :)

Granted, I like Hugh as Dr. Crankypants, but I'm amazed at his range of talent. And once I heard his song "Mystery," I couldn't get it out of my head for weeks. Love to hear him play piano and hopefully the "House" folks will let him do more of that this season.

Thanks for the smile and giggle. Hope you're feeling better!

  9. I'm with you, Map: I LOVE H&L's humor. That first bit is especially hilarious.

I think I'll follow Hope's lead and buy a DVD set.

  10. They were so good together. I should think Stephen was very sad when Hugh left for a bigger stage.

  11. hope; Actor, comedian, musician.Maybe Jimmy did see something, something I aspire to. I do like to entertain. I will always see Hugh Laurie as a partner to Stephen Fry. :¬)

Charlie; you could spend your money on worse! They have always made me laugh. And they do the same for my kids! :¬)

Pat; I think Stephen is big enough to stand quite firmly on his own, he has gone off in so many directions. But having been part of an act that has split and ventured into different areas, I can understand the sadness. :¬)

  13. I just found and bought Jeeves and Wooster on DVD. I had no idea it was a show but I loved the books. Yes, it was shocking to see Hugh play Bertie after watching House.

  14. Lulu; House comes well recommended by the other 80% of this household! :¬)
