miss me pal

Is it wrong that one should  be inspired by alcohol and late nights? Songs run through the heid, thoughts abound. Old friends keep my mind alive. I hope my thoughts  are with them. I miss you Jimmy, but you know  that.

  1. Mankind has been inspired by alcohol since the...well...the dawn of man, when someone picked up some rotting grapes off he ground and ate them. Nothing wrong with that. Just ask Dylan Thomas.

Yeah, I miss him too. That dude talked me down off a window ledge six years ago when I was laid off from my job. Is he even alive? All good wishes to him. And to you. Two good blokes.

  2. I miss my old friends, too. Both real and virtual.

    1. Is this the real life, or is this just Fanta? See? :-P

  3. There's a line in one of my favorite movies, Devil In A Blue Dress where the lead character asks his friend a question about standing by a friend and the answer is so true...in the end, Easy, all you have is your friends. I like that. As dear Ms.Scarlet said, both real and virtual, I love and miss them all. xoxoxoxo

  4. He did pop round a little while ago. Or did I dream it? I always feel he's close and keeping an eye on things.
It's Sunday tonight and I can have a snifter. I'll toast you all.
It's also my wedding anniversary but I'm not sad - just thankful for memories.

    1. Yes, a brief showing of the heid above the parapet a while back, and you can be quite sure an eye is being kept on all who matter.
I am glad you are not sad on ye're wedding anniversary, and hope you enjoyed the snifter. I will toast you and YTL. Relish your wonderful memories dear lady. ;-)

  5. Yeah...the bread basket is empty, as is the kitchen. I'm getting hungry for stories from our invisible friend. Oh, I know he's out there. After all, someone has to keep an eye on the rest of us. :)

  6. I miss him too. I guess the only constant in life is change so we have to roll with that, right? I am sure he will make an appearance again one of these days. Especially if you tell him we are clamouring for an encore. Maybe you could put the bug in his ear that if he would just pop round once in a while and comment on our blogs? That would make us happier than not hearing from him at all... I bet he's still trouncing around Spain, drinking wine and getting tanned and relaxed and all that. ;-)
