This could have been written for two oul scarred and gnarled pals who continually bob to the surface, regardless of what goes on behind the scenes, eh?One small gripe. I'd rather hear you sing your version.Tell your Ma I was asking for her, and give my wee hens a cuddle from their uncle Jimmy, eh? I'll give something else to your good lady when you're away down the road to your work the morrow. Flowers, I'm thinking flowers.Get your coat ready and warmed by the fire so, I'll be round there for yis at the back of 12. Tis a pint or two we'll have for those who cannae be with us this year. Maybe this year I'll carry the tray out of respect for our friendship. Long may it continue.
Chef; The two pals with the 'lived in' faces eh? Your wish is my command my friend, soon as I get a bit of time to meself. Ma was quite cheery tonight, which can't be said of some of her fellow inmates. Old age and bad health.. a terrible combination.
What a beautiful song! And Chef is right...would rather hear your version.Give Ma a hug and ask her to give you one back from me. :)
hope; See above. The only good thing about Ma being in hospital is that she loves all the visitors. And I'm the one she sends off to fetch tea for her guests! "Oh stay where y'are dear, Máirtín will go get that for you, hurry along now!" As she's on the third floor and the coffee shop is in the basement, and I don't like taking the lift, my trews are getting looser by the day! :¬)xxx
You could always carry a tray...
Chef; I've said it before, yer a loss to the world of stand-up.:-P
Aye, but that's just a small part of my charm, eh?
Lovely song and yes, we'd all love to hear you sing it, Maurcheen.Glad to hear your Ma is in good spirits, and enjoying her visitors. You're a good son, my dear... just don't waste away to nothing trudging up and down those stairs! ;-)
Pleased to hear your Ma is on the mend.Sx
May I come in? I'd just like to say that's a beautiful song (now I must google Johny Duhan -excuse my ignorance, I'm only a faraway southerner-) and last but not least, best wishes for your Ma complete and speedy recovery. ;)PD.- Will there be a Mad Hatters' version of "The Voyage"?
Leni; Come in, sit, have a drink and a listen. You are more than welcome. There will be a solo version from myself very soon. :¬)xxx
