I've done a bit of clearing out in the cranium dept. And a lot of it I put down to my return to exercise. Yes! I've gone back to the gym. One of the trainers went into a weakness when she saw me, bless her! Anyway, it's feckin' tough getting back after so long. And the body is sore, very sore, but I can deal with that. The head is clearer. And I can do with that. Plus I get to look like an Adonis before Speedo season!
Hey Map, I went back last week after a hiatus. I think I proved some theory or other that the older you get, the quicker you slide backwards and the harder it is to recoup. My poor endorphins were screaming in denial. Here's to boldl going!
I'm back in the gym too...hard not to think of it as just one more chore, and an agonizing one to boot--but as Jimmy reminded us of one of my very favorite quotes--pain is weakness leaving the body. I will be reciting this as my new mantra.
Hey, I go to the gym every day... and I definitely don't have the body of a goddess! Endorphines are good - I see them being produced every day. Did I mention that I work there? :D
A tattooed Adonis, no less! Excellent that you're back at the gym. Those endorphins do wonders for the state of mind. xoxo

ReplyDeleteClearing the head is good - even if it means going to the dreaded gym.
ReplyDeleteA Speedo! I'm in such bad shape that I use a Speedo for a bathing cap.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you, though, on that running machine and clearing your cranium.
Do gym locker rooms still smell like jocks, socks, and old sneakers?
The body and mind are all connected. But you already knew that, right? Press! Press! Press!

ReplyDeleteSettle down troops...he hasn't done the first one yet, but I'm like my state's motto, which is, "While I breathe, I hope."
