judge book cover

Just a reminder to myself.
Take the time to get to know folk.

p.s. these were just two of the 'names' I was called in my younger, more 'outrageous' days. Happy times.

  3. Brother Map,

Since Brother Jimmy already checked you about the time of day, I'll remain mute on the subject.

How truely inspired that picture is; two words to describe the same species. Too often, we're quick to label someone and close the book then and there.

I'm happy to call you my friend and brother.

Hope you and the family have a great weekend.

    U

  4. U; that's a normal time for me to be getting home from 'work'. It's often later tho', if we have to travel any great distance, but it's all local this weekend.

I'm honoured to have friends like you brother.
And a good weekend to you.

  7. Clyde; Exactly!

Sav; A fellow band member thinks that I have a tendency to attract 'strange' people. He says I 'draw them on me' and I give them too much time. Sometimes I'm tempted to agree with him. But I almost never do. I like listening. I like people. And most folk turn out to be nice, good folk.

  8. Map, people are very interesting, no matter what their outward appearance. Yes, some are very odd, but that certainly doesn't mean they're bad people!

I've known more straight-laced, proper looking folks who were just plain nasty as opposed to the funky, weird ones being bad.

Besides, being 'normal' can be boring... and I have never claimed to be normal! I just gave my best friend a birthday card on the weekend that said "I'm glad you're my friend... I tend to scare normal people away!" She just howled with laughter!

  9. Ah, now you've answered my question--the story behind the picture (and by the way, I love the picture).

I attract strange people too--they're the very best kind.

  10. Ah, the wonders of cyber space...we get to be ourselves, minus the book cover. :)

But in my head, if you don't mind, I'll pretend that my tendency to be drawn to you and this site doesn't make me too um...."strange". ;) Like you, I love a good story!

    Have a great weekend!

  11. Adorable and fab, that's you. I'd have called them vandals or visgoths. Always confused people. Have a fine weekend.

  12. Pon; I always kinda 'stood out'!I was always taller and much more handsome than the other teenagers. (Stop sniggering at the back!)

When I was 21 I got engaged to my girlfriend of 4 years and she tried to make me 'conform'! That was a bad couple of days! Needless to say we didn't go through with the wedding.

    Leah; Yes we are!

  13. well, you can't have a symphony with just one note or a rainbow with just one color. Makes the world an interesting place, I think :-)

  14. debra; yeah it would be a rather dull place if we were all the same!

  15. I knew a Gay Goth at school. Although he had been a Gay New Romantic just before that.

Oddly enough it never crossed my mind he was gay back then, although with hindsight it was fairly obvious

  16. I had always wanted to be a gay new romantic goth. But my mother wouldn't let me!
