Sometimes, no matter how hard I try, I just can't stay up!
(I try to, I do, and I succeed, almost always!)
Jimmy tells me, "you have to be strong. 'Be strang fer yer clan lad'!" And I am, most days
:¬)
I know.
Tomorrow.
I Know.
But just now, I'm sad.
And crying, and I'm giving in to the sad.
And I need to, and have to.
But i'll be grand tomorrow, sure.
OK?!
Sometimes feelings catch up with us and we just can't always be up. It's totally totally okay.

it's true, sugar. sometimes the only way to get thru the hard times is to just go thru them. it's ok, sugar, really it is. xoxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteThe wheel turns, my friend. It will pass and then return and then pass again. On and on it goes. The beautiful/horrible mosaic of our lives.
ReplyDeleteAs Hemingway wrote, the sun also rises.
ReplyDeleteI get sad, too. Seems to be the pay off of the days where the world sparkles and many of the ideas I have spin themselves into things I use to amuse myself and others. The flip side, of course, is the time my head seems to need to "recharge".
Be sad, and know that people love you.

Brother Map,
ReplyDeleteAt the risk of sounding redundant to all those before me, it really is OK! Often (it has seemed to me), that it's you standing there encouraging someone. I admire that quality in you. I also admire your willingness to be upfront and honest.
I won't tell you, "everything is gonna be all right" because I don't have a crystal ball but I know that if another day dawns, the sun will rise again.
May the new day shine light on your journey and warm you with the love of family and friends.

Without sadness, happiness wouldn't be as sweet.
ReplyDeleteYou can't go round it, under it, or over it.. you just have to go through it sweetie and you will come out the other side. In my early days training to be a psychologist one of the biggest lessons I learnt was the power of release and in particular the release that tears are meant to bring. It's good to cry and you have had a lot going on lately you need it. x x
ReplyDeleteThe fact that you are feeling sad and having a cry does not make you any less strong for your clan or anyone else. It only proves that you are human like all the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteAnd letting the sadness out through tears is MUCH better than holding it in and creating a pressure cooker inside, waiting to explode.
You're a good man, Map.
Charlie beat me to it...you are a good man, Map. And it is heartening when you show us that you are human too.
ReplyDeleteSo do what you have to do and we'll be waiting on the other side, arms open wide. :)
The strongest of men have the strongest of emotions, Map. You are very strong... and you are passionate about many things. It's become obvious to me that you have a heart of gold.
ReplyDeleteLet the tears flow; let the pain ebb; let the love around you hold you tight; close your eyes and just.... be.
Lots of love from Canadia, Map... xoxoxoxo
I am truly blessed to have folk like you all in my life.
ReplyDeleteMuch love my dear friends. Much love.
Map.

It just means you're human, Map - and that's OK
ReplyDeleteAnd hope all is well with you today. Sometimes letting go means that you can hang on a bit more.
ReplyDeleteKim; Yes! And thank you.
ReplyDelete:¬)
Madame DF; I want to hang on as long as I can!

It's allowed, Map. We need to feel all of our feelings, moving with them through our humanity. If we didn't, I think it could get really weird.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling a little better now. ~hugs~
