Great heavens, Maps! My dear old dead grandmamma was one of Limerick's least favourite daughters. I have never been. I should. I feel the call of the wild.
Is it really sad that I just can't be bothered looking at it?? It's not because I don't want to, it's because we have such slow internet broadband speeds here in NZ that I will just get postal watching it.
Strange how people see their home town, isn't it? I'm guessing the person who made this is culturally a million miles away from me.
Not wrong. Just other.
I've been thinking of making one of those videos but it will involve rather fewer churches and considerably more pubs. The music will possibly be a bit different too.
To be honest, I think the permanent classical music would piss me off as I wandered around the place.
ReplyDeleteKim; that's one of the few problems with this place!
ReplyDelete:¬)
way cool place, sugar! but yeah, the music might really kill my buzz! ;~D xoxox
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, gently she flows, the gentle fingers of the Shannon, as she winds her way out into the Atlantic Ocean, across the deep to our beloved Amerikay.
ReplyDeleteI used to fish the estuary not so long back, a wonderful little peg it was, with a bar not more than a spit or two across the way.
Sav; Us locals don't notice the music anymore, but I can see how it can get annoying to visitors! :¬)

Jimmy; the estuary is a fine sight indeed, wonderful drives on both sides. (And bars!)
I'll know where to go to get my teeth done now.

Scarlet; and while you wait too!

Brother Map,
ReplyDeleteLove the view of Limerick (I can bounce to all styles of music). I laughed at the "False Teeth Repaired" sign.
U
I was waiting for the pub tour!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely place, Map. One day I will come to visit there and meet you and your lovely family. xoxo
U; hey Bro, 'tis home and I like it.
ReplyDeletePon; The pub tour has to be done live!
I will look forward to showing you around all the bars when you visit!

I'm trying to watch the video but the music is making me sleepy!
ReplyDeleteMusic? What are they on about Map? I didn't hear any music.
ReplyDeleteSee you next week so.

ReplyDeletedebra; sorry 'bout the music, but as I said, we don't hear it anymore!

Mrs P;I knew ya must have a bit of the sod in ya! Now you must tell me of Gran.
What part of Limerick, I'm sure the Ma would have tales.

Limerick has changed.
ReplyDeleteI drove through it many a time on my way to Dingle in the mid 70’s.
Big big difference.
Momo; it'll be grand when it's finished! :¬)
ReplyDeleteAdd one more to the "Why is this music making me so sleepy?" count. :) Next time, they should ask you to provide the tune.
ReplyDeleteBut what a pleasant journey...the green is soothing my poor, roasted soul.
hope; I know, what a crap track, very 'tourist board'! Come. Visit!
ReplyDelete(See, they can hire me!)
