That was quite a tough week that was! (We like repeating ourselves!)
You would think I would know who my real friends are at this stage of my life, and I do. It's just I now also know who aren't my real friends.
Two pals were shoulder to shoulder with me, day and night, and I will never forget that. The rest? I'm too long in the tooth to be bitter, it's a lesson learned.
The Ma has left a big hole in our lives, it's going to take some getting used to.
Thank you all for your love and support.
I'm sorry to read of this conflict with your friends. I hope it all gets sorted out. As if life weren't difficult enough.
ReplyDeleteBut it's not a conflict, just a realisation. Nothing to be sorted here my friend. :)
DeleteWish I could hug you in person...but you know every word is heartfelt from this side of the pond. Oddly enough, I'm going to miss Ma's adventures. But she lives on in you.
ReplyDeleteSo kindly have Annette hug you for me....then do the same for her. Thoughts are with you, my friend. x

So sorry for your loss, Maps, and especially poignant as my Mum has been in hospital for the past month. Yes, it's a steep realisation curve. Thinking of you.

Yes it can be quite a reality check - and then we carry on - head held high- as Mum would expect. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's exactly what I'm doing.
