I don't do it often, but sometimes I step outside my comfort zone, just to challenge myself. I go places on my own, without the backup of friends, without that parachute, and I come home safe, and that little bit more free. That little bit more excited. That little bit more.
you're either growing or you're dying... and pushing those boundaries = growth!
ReplyDeleteI learn from the best. ;-)

She is the best, isn't she? I hope my daughters turn out exactly like her.
ReplyDeleteI bet they'll be just fine being themselves my friend. ;-)
DeleteNow what have you been up to? I thought you were safely recuperating in bed.
ReplyDeleteHaha Pat, I wrote that from my sick-bed! ;-)

Better travels through creative chemistry???
ReplyDeleteStepping outside your comfort zone is a way to grow. I've done it more times than I care to recount, sometimes of my own volition, other times forced by circumstance. But it's definitely made me the confident cheerful person I am today! So good for you, oh sickly one. Hope you feel right up to snuff very soon!
xoxoxo
Snuff? That's the last thing I need! Aaaaaaachoooooo!! ;-)

Don't encourage him. He needs very little to lead him from the path of light these days. If the truth be known, our wee pal here has no other choice but to find solace in drinking establishments that are foreign to him. He knows there are those who seek him. This is what happens when you drink your hosts special reserve whilst he is occupied elsewhere for a brief moment or two. Rest assured, eventually I shall simmer, call off the hounds and re-sheath my trusty blade. However irritating the wee snuffler is, he is still blood. Should he come knocking at your door seeking shelter I would however advise caution before allowing him entrance. At the very least, hide your drink...
ReplyDeleteOops.... wasn't expecting you back for another week, I'll replace that bottle soon. Pint?
DeleteAnd thanks for the 'empty' brother, it's been good.
DeleteStepping outside your comfort zone is never easy but definitely good for us. So you started knitting then? :D
ReplyDeleteCrochet actually, my taller pal is an expert in knots and such! :-)
