Back To Life, Back To Reality

A man can 'run away'
And by day forget
The missing and the dead
And have fun
But at night
When the sun sleeps
And a man lay his head
The pillow awakens the depths
And into the fading light
Darkness creeps.

  1. Nicely put. Oddly, it reminded me of Metallica's Enter Sandman. Sometimes, sleep is not your friend.

  2. But when the sun comes up, he has friends. With hugs. (And some even bring adult beverages).

Wishing you a sunnier week. :)

  3. Cold hard reputation is merely the empty shell a man discards when he leaves Glasgow life for the sanctuary of his own sanity. His individual character he takes with him. Fragments scatter behind him and are left for his pals to gather. With that in mind, never be afraid that a friend is forever lost. Friendship is the lifeblood of the 1888 connection. Keep it in mind whenever the grey clouds gather. Stow your religious pish, but always keep the faith.

Say hello to your ma, tell her I was asking for her and to keep an eye on that eejit of a son until I return fae paradise when the sun finally turns to rain.
