I love Eddie Izzard. I recently saw him in a David Mamet play. I had already seen the play months earlier, but when Izzard joined the cast, I thought it was worth a second look. How do you pronounce his last name? Rhymes with "lizard" or "iz-ahard" with the accent on the second syllable?
Warden; I have to pull you up on that point. As above, I think Mr. Izzard is quite capable and gifted in many a genre. And as proved in his recent sporting achievements, just quite gifted. :¬)
He's the only British comedian that does gigs in French when he's over there, he didn't need to wear the high heels and dresses though. Not because I've anything against cross dressers but he just looked like a bag of tatties.
Rather odd looking fellow. But funny! Never heard of him before though... but then, I am sure you are aware of how behind the times we are over here in the Colonies. ;-)
