Feckin' Ash-Cloud!

We're supposed to be flying to Disneyland Paris tomorrow.
But that ash-cloud has reappeared over Ireland.
And some flights have already been cancelled!
Helena, our Youngest, has the saddest face!
Here's hoping the wind changes direction during the night.

  1. What's this?! I thought that old ash cloud was long gone! Being denied a trip to Disney is the most unjust punishment for a kid. Here's hoping. Safe travels. Happy landings. Take a few pics.

  6. Leah; Thanks! I don't know how Helena got to sleep tonight, all she can think about is THAT ASH CLOUD! She's been looking forward to this for sooooo long! And the teenagers (who will be home alone) are looking forward to it too! :¬)

  7. New opportunities and new dangers at every turn.

Diggin' the idea of a reckless eyeballing...

  8. I suspect that Helena isn't the only one with a sad face around your house; I'd be disappointed as hell too.

Bellows might do the job, except you'd need 10 billion of them. So I'll cross my fingers and toes too and hope Auntie's eyeballing works.

  12. Hurray, I just saw on the BBC site that flights will resume at 1300 hrs. No doubt there will be a bit of a schmozzle at the airport, but hopefully you'll not have more than a bit of a delay before taking to the air. No need to tell Helena and parents to have a fab time, but I'll say it anyway - have a FAB time!! :D

  17. Just checking in to see if you made it to your destination.

With Jimmy MIA, I worry when I don't hear from some of you folks. Hope it's because you're still off having FUN!

  18. Thanks to all for your good wishes and concern! Yes, we made it to Paris & Disney, had a grand time and managed to make it home safely and on time! No more flying for me though 'til this cloud is well and truly gone! :¬)
