I was watching 'House' on TV last night.
(The teenagers tied me to the recliner and kept my eyelids open with tape!)
Anyway, I heard someone say something along the lines of;
"I'd rather regret
having done something,
than regret
not having done something."
And I think, in most situations, I would have to agree.
(Yes, that's me, sometime in the 80's, after a fight!)
Ah, I love "House"! Actually I'd rather hear Hugh Laurie as a grumpy American than as his refined English self. I know...weird.
ReplyDeleteBut you're right. There are pearls of wisdom that pop up from time to time in those episodes. And to tell you the truth, sometimes I feel alot like his buddy Wilson...the one who knows the truth but keeps caring [and doing the grunt work] anyway. ;)
By the way, Pon and I will probably refuse the right to utilize that photo for your P.R. work. ;)
hope; I don't really watch much telly, because if I find something interesting then I CAN get hooked, i.e. ANY Star-Trek, Stargate (anything with Star in the title basically!) Lost, Fringe.
ReplyDeleteAs for the pic, you could 'leak' it when my star is fading, anything for publicity! :¬)

Brother Map,
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on this one. Who the fuck wants to live with regrets in life? I don't...I don't!
I think your PR Team needs more pics for your press campaign.
U
What a handsome devil - send the PR team more photos, there is a story in there!
ReplyDeleteU; I thought you might agree Brother! :¬)
ReplyDeleteLulu; There goes the blushometer again!
(And yes, there is a story, and someday 'twil be told!) :¬)

Ah yes, TV duty is at times quite painful. As I blog at this very minute I am watching Pokemon. At least I like Pokemon!!!
ReplyDeleteI, like many, have regrets, but they're all part of the experience of life & like mistakes, we learn by them innit?
ReplyDeleteSo tell the story Map...........blushes et al :-)
I do believe the official PR team will need pics of you (and your sidekick Jimmy Bastard) dressed in kilts.... go see my latest post for instructions.
ReplyDeletehahahahahaha!!!!
Oh... and I totally agree with this post... :-)
xoxoxo
Life has come to this...? I'm now a sidekick to a heid-the-baw who appears to have a pirate fetish?
ReplyDeleteWhere did it all go wrang?
Come on Stew, House can be entertaining while you're having a beer--
ReplyDeleteBut its right---you have to have a go, because you will wonder for the rest of your life if you could have done it.
Geez, I've seen a face like that in the mirror. Didn't like something the best fighter in the district said to a young lady--we actually became great mates later and he admitted that I had broken his nose when I cracked his head into my knee---I have no memory---think I was pissed---had to be to have a go at him
Auntie: Pokemon? POKEMON?
ReplyDeletexxx
Jayne; You said it.
(Story will be in the book!)
xxx
Pon; You're gonna start HIM off again!
xxx
Jimmy: Stick with me Jim lad, and ye'll go far! aaarrrrrrr!!
Clyde; Similar story pal, was defending some young American ladies who were over here for a visit! (They were major impressed as I recall, and supplied me with free booze for the rest of the month!)
ReplyDeleteJaysus. Looks like your eyebrows migrated to yer gob.
ReplyDeleteFair dues ked.
Arrrgh, matey.
ReplyDeleteSorry. I had to do it. It took me along time to realize the guy who plays House is from the UK. What a spectacular American accent!
What? No picture of the loser of the fight?!
ReplyDeletePearl
Dev; Not only did I have a 'tache, but it was ginger! ('Taches were big in our family, the Ma still has hers!)
ReplyDeletexxx
UB; Aye lad! :¬)
Pearl; He was never seen or heard of again! (Not round these parts anyway!)

Oh Map, I could have written your first comment back... I too must avoid the tube... then I found the original Star Trek on line... now I must avoid that too. The first two seasons of Lost saw me turn into a complete ass when "time for Lost". I had to give it up.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing, I too "regret" not having done something that most people would not have done in the first place. I'm always a bit mystified by it all.
I think that's my shirt you're wearin' in the photo. I must have forgotten I loaned it to you, so go ahead and keep it.
ReplyDelete@eloh; We musta been separated at birth! :¬)
ReplyDeletexxx
Charlie; I often wondered where that shirt appeared from! Ta pal! :¬)
Hugh Laurie is HOT. Seriously. And you probably don't care. ;) lol
ReplyDeleteAJ; Hugh Laurie may very well be hot, seriously or otherwise! (Seriously? Hugh Laurie?)
ReplyDeleteBut you are right.
I probably don't care!
Don't let that stop YOU though!
